A little about the Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog:

The Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog makes an excellent family pet and will guard you and your home instinctively, early training will benefit you and your Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog in socializing skills they learn to be around strangers, children and other dogs. This breed is just like most, it is territorial and if it feels threatened it will strive to protect.

They are strong when fully grown but instinctively know there own strength and when playing with adults or children they adapt to each situation.They are affectionate, loving, loyal and very protective. I found training essential to take pack leader role, these dogs are highly intelligent and respond to any command you learn them and they will grasp it within hours.

They are a lot of fun to teach both owner and dog take a lot of enjoyment from training. They need daily exercise and ideally need an adequate yard/garden to run around, I found with my alapahas that they love the sun, they really enjoy lazing around but also need a shaded area to cool off.

The life expectancy is 12-15 years so this is many years of fun and commitment from both the dog and the owner.

Little grooming is required although occasional brushing would be required and bathing every few weeks or so.

The weight of the Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog varies from male to female, dogs can be upto 100lbs and females around 78lbs.

Male Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldogs can be twice as heavy as the smallest female Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldogs. The Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog colours are combinations of white, blue, merle, red merle, chocolate merle, chocolate fawn, fawn blue, blue brindle and black. The most interesting features of the Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog is their eyes they can be blue, crystal blue, yellow, green, brown or dark brown/black. With the combination of colours and eyes colours the alapaha produces this breed can only go from strength to strength.
